Fiber Optics Training in Action!
This week, we hosted an in-depth EPON/fiber optics training session for our technicians. Raul Atencio from TSG guided the team through hands-on use of our new mechanical fiber splicing kits, offering valuable tips and insights.
The session, led by Kyle McDaniel, also covered a wide range of key topics — from EPON fundamentals and splicing best practices to upcoming plant upgrades like Full Duplex DOCSIS (FDX) and the latest equipment making its way into the field.
Our techs walked away energized and equipped with new skills to support the future of broadband. Big thanks to Raul and Kyle for an excellent learning experience!
Mission Statement
The Cascade Range Chapter of the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers provides cost-effective and quality technical training, certification testing opportunities and vendor interaction to local technical employees engaged in the design, construction, installation, monitoring and maintenance of modern telecommunications facilities.
Most members of the Cascade Range Chapter are located in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Each year we conduct seminars on a variety of subjects of interest to telecommunications technicians and engineers. Our members are primarily from the cable telecommunications operators and related vendors in the area -- but anyone with an interest is invited to attend.
